As one of the first professional sports in America approved to get back to business, the UFC has taken no time to lock in the upcoming title fight to headline UFC 250.

Come June, UFC double champion and arguably one of the greatest fighters of all time, Amanda Nunes will defend her featherweight belt against challenger Felicia Spencer.

The number one female pound-for-pound fighter in the competition, the native Brazilian won the original bantamweight title in 2016, and then went on to take the featherweight belt in 2018.

Spencer, a Canada born fighter has never fought below the 145-pound weight limit before and has competed previously as high as 155 and 180 pounds, proving she’s a multi-faceted fighter, ready to take her game to wherever it’s needed.

Being broadcasted live from Apex Arena in Las Vegas, this card will be a fan-less account, which will mean the fighters will have to draw on more than the atmosphere they’ve become accustomed to.

Other notable bouts include former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt taking on Raphael Assuncao in the co-main event after their originally scheduled matchup wasn’t to be at the cancelled UFC Columbus fight night.

It’ll be more than a year since Garbrandt has stepped into the cage, after losing back to back fights against rival and former teammate, T.J. Dillashaw, and Pedro Munhoz.

Assuncao is also coming in off back to back defeats, for the first time since 2010, the most recent of which came from UFC 241 at the hands of rising contender Cory Sandhagen. Both fighters require a win in order to stay competitive within the division and slowly build their case for more dominant bouts.

UFC 250 is sure to have it all, as one of the first events approved to take place, it’ll be important these fighters kick back into their seasons with a win.
